The design of modern large business application systems is moving from monolithic enterprise architectures towards microservices based architectures. These are especially well suited to run in cloud environments, because each microservice can be developed, deployed and managed individually, which allows much more fine-grained control and scalability. Based on a concrete example, this projet should build an application using a microservice architecture, showing the most representative challenges of this approach, using a cloud environment. A process for the automation of the infrastructure will be developed, including continuous integration and continuous deployment.
