Abstract

The objective of this project is the generation of an embedded Linux distribution for the Raspberry Pi platform, and the inclusion of an operational version of the EPICS System (Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System). The necessary basics to generate a distribution of Linux have been learned, as the boot loader, kernel, the file system, and the differences between the different C libraries available (Uclibc, glibc). A cross-compile environment using the Buildroot tool has also been developed and set up, in order to generate an EPICS distribution in the Raspberry Pi platform.
