This master dissertation aims to model some aspects of the propagation channel in frequency bands allocated for use for 5G. These frequency bands mostly coincide with the millimeter-wave frequency range. The experimental channel modelling was accomplished by performing measurements, more specifically frequency sweeps in indoor environments. After a short introduction, the measuring equipment used to perform the measurements is discussed. A short overview of the most important specifications of the measuring equipment is given. This is followed by a chapter dedicated to the Matlab scripts. These scripts were used to process and interpret the data gained from the measurements. How the measurements were performed, how they evolved through testing and the settings of the equipment are explained next. The second to last chapter presents and discusses the results from these measurements. Lastly conclusions are given to summarize the main points of this master dissertation.
