Microsurgery is being applied in different domains of surgery. Until today, the way microsurgery being teached did not change much over the past decades, most time is spend by on rats. New educational models and advancements in technology are encouraging the development of new training methods. This thesis presents the design and development of a virtual reality prototype for a novel training in microsurgery, following user centered design.
