Portal web para la gestión de proyectos e investigadores en un grupo de investigación

Abstract

Las tareas destinadas a la gestión relacionadas con la manipulación y tratamiento de datos dentro de una organización se han ido llevando a cabo por sistemas informáticos evitando así trabajos manuales que pueden ser propensos a errores y que en su mayoría generan una gran pérdida de tiempo. De igual manera, durante los últimos años con la evolución de internet y el alcance que este ha tenido en cuanto a su accesibilidad, ha permitido la creación de aplicaciones web para poder cubrir las necesidades en multitud de ámbitos del mundo empresarial accediendo vía web y beneficiándose de las ventajas que este conlleva como disponibilidad, compatibilidad, espacio físico, bajo consumo de recursos, entre otros. Bajo este contexto y en particular sobre este proyecto, el objetivo principal es el desarrollo de una plataforma web para poder gestionar los proyectos e investigadores dentro de un grupo de investigación, evitando así que se lleve a cabo de forma manual como se venía haciendo hasta el momento. En concreto, esta plataforma irá destinada a la gestión para el laboratorio MEDAL (Medical Data Analytics Laboratory) dentro del grupo de investigación MIDAS (Data Mining and Simulation) del CTB (Centro de Tecnología Biomédica) de la escuela de Ingenieros Informáticos de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.---ABSTRACT---The tasks aimed to the management are related with the data manipulation and the data processing within an organization that have been carried out by computerized systems thus avoiding manual tasks that can lead to mistakes and that in large part they generate a great waste of time. Following this during the last years with the development and the evolution of internet and the extent of it due to its ease of access, it has allowed the creation of web applications to cover the needs in many different bussiness fields by accessing via web and benefiting from the advantages as the availability, compatibility, physical space, low the resource consumption etc. In this context and in particular about this project, the main objective is the development of a web platform in order to manage the projects and the researchers withing a research group. This is the way to avoid doing it manually as it was being done until then. In concrete, this platform will be destinated to the management for the MEDAL laboratory (Medical Data Analytics Laboratory) withing the research group MIDAS (Data Mining and Simulation), the CTB (biomedical technology center) in the university Politécnica de Madrid.
