Abstract
Some Clavatoraceae species have been determinated at the top of the Upper Berriasian-Lower Valanginian depositional sequence. Age determination is highly consistent with dating obtained through Foraminifera studies and formers carried out in the Maestrazgo Basin (Eastern Iberian Ranges). However; anagenetic transformation of Clavator harrisii (PECK) seems to take place during the Lower Valanginian and not later.
