Living limits: el inter-hábitat contemporáneo

Abstract

El presente trabajo fin de grado surge de la apertura del debate teórico
sobre el límite arquitectónico. La respuesta inmediata a dicha cuestión
lleva consigo asociada términos como fin o separación. Sin embargo, el
planteamiento a dicha temática que introduce el trabajo es considerar al
límite como transición.
Ayudado por la definición de una serie de conceptos clave, se planteará
que hay dos realidades claramente opuestas en la existencia del individuo:
un exterior natural (que será denominado como EXT) y un interior
humano (que se identificará con el INT). Vincular ambos resulta
indispensable para lograr un desarrollo existencial completo del
individuo, y aún más allá, para el despliegue de las relaciones sociales con
el otro.
El estudio del estado de la cuestión determinará que esta transición de
una realidad a otra conlleva a conformar el límite como una sucesión de
estratos verticales identificados con membranas y filtros que recrean
distintas atmósferas y envolventes para conseguir una simbiosis del
individuo con su origen natural. Pero sobre todo, será imprescindible
contextualizar dicho debate desde el punto de vista de la percepción del
individuo, definiendo como base fundamental la realidad del inter.
Todo ello derivará en la confección de un desarrollo teórico propositivo
en torno a la idea de habitar, y más expresamente, sobre el qué entender
por hábitat. El desarrollo final enlazará el límite con el hábitat,
desembocando en la definición del nuevo término personal de la realidad
del espacio arquitectónico del habitar del individuo desde su percepción,
transición EXT-INT y vínculos sociales: el inter-hábitat.
The current final degree project begins with a personal theoretical
discussion about the limit in architecture. An immediate reply to this
question associated the main theme with words as end or term. However,
the new personal approach to this subject is to consider limit as a
transition.
Aided by the definition of a few key concepts, it will be proposed that
there are two clearly opposed realities in human´s existence: a natural
exterior (which will be termed as EXT) and a human interior (which will be
identified with the INT). Linking both is essential to achieve a complete
existential development of the human being. And even more, in order to
get a successful deployment of social relationships.
The study about the topic will determine that this transition from one
reality to another leads to conform the limit as a succession of vertical
layers identified with membranes and filters aiming to recreate different
atmospheres and envelopes to achieve a symbiosis between people and
its natural origin. But above all, it will be essential to bear in mind the
perception of the individual, and the reality of “the inter”.
All this will lead to a theoretical development about the idea of living, and
more specifically, about what is a habitat.
The final argument will link limit with habitat, leading as a personal
proposal to the definition of the architectural space inhabited by the
individual from its perception, EXT-INT transition and social bonds: the
inter-habitat.
