This work proposes a novel platform combining the filtering and splitting approaches, all while enabling the use of commodity hardware and existing traffic analysis tools and devices. A fully working, proof-of-concept implementation based on free software and open standards is also included. Extensions can nevertheless be envisaged, in order to take advantage of vendor-specific features and proprietary technologies, where available.
