Abstract

This project has been carried out in collaboration with the company aQysta, with the aim of developing a model to predict the pressure gradient of the two-phase flow fluid that runs through the delivery pipe of a spiral pump. To do so, theoretical models have been studied, computed and adapted using the software tool MATLAB. Experiments were carried out to validate the results of the models and the results were plotted and analysed to later proceed to draw conclusions and make recommendations. The result of this project is a program with which the company can determine the viability of positioning the spiral pump in a certain location and would continue to be useful for pumps of a larger size that the company is currently developing
