There are many research works that analyze the effects of corrosion on the tensile strength, deformation and ductile behavior of corrugated steel reinforcements. The analysis of this influence has been developed on bars of different diameters. This paper study the variations in the mechanical properties of steel that occur in small diameter hot-rolled corrugated steel reinforcements, in which corrosion has been accelerated, affecting different lengths of them. For the test carrying out, bars of 50 cm length have been embedded in slabs of cement mortar with a proportion of 4% of calcium chloride. Then, they have undergone an accelerated corrosion, connecting them to variable amounts of current during different periods of time. Subsequently, the corroded bars have been extracted and subjected to a standardized tensile test, which has allowed to know the strength characteristics according to the area affected by corrosion, always referred to a set of standard bars.
