Implementación de una API REST para estándar ASCOM

Abstract

Este documento recoge toda la información relacionada con el Trabajo de Fin de Grado realizado a lo largo del primer semestre del año académico 2018-2019. El objetivo del Trabajo de Fin de Grado asignado consiste en proveer de una pasarela web al laboratorio del Obserivatorio Astronómico Montegancedo. Dicha pasarela web debe permitir mediante mensajes basados en el protocolo de transferencia de hipertexto (HTTP), controlar los distintos dispositivos situados en el laboratorio. Así mismo, se deberá seguir una implementación basada en los estándares proporcionados por la iniciativa ASCOM (Astronomy Common Object Model). Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado viene motivado por el objetivo último del observatorio, el cual consiste en proveer de una plataforma libre y abierta donde cualquier usuario pueda realizar experimentos desde cualquier lugar. El observatorio en los recientes años está adaptando todos sus componentes y controladores a los estándares proporcionados por la iniciativa ASCOM, es por eso que es necesario proveer de una pasarela web adaptada a dichos estándares que permita una comunicación con los dispositivos.--ABSTRACT--This document collects all informaton regarding the end-of-degree project developed along the first semester of the 2018-2019 academic year. The objective of the assigned end-of-degree project is to provide a web gateway to the laboratory of the Astronomical Observatory Montegancedo. This gateway should allow controlling the different devices located on the laboratory through messages based on the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). Also, this gateway implementation must follow the standards provided by the ASCOM (Astronomy Common Object Model) initiative. This end-of-degree is motivated by the ultmate goal of the observatory, which is to provide a free and open source platform where any user can conduct experiments from anywhere. In recent years, the laboratory is adapting all it’s components and drivers according to the standards provided by the ASCOM initiative, this is why it’s necessary to provide a gateway adapted to those standards, so it allows communication with the devices.
