Abstract

CSoybean meal (SBM) is the most important source of protein in nonruminant diets worldwide. The chemical composition, protein quality and nutritive value of commercial SBM depend on numerous factors, including the maturity of the seeds, the conditions of the process used to extract the oil, and the area of production of the original beans.
