Abstract

Los resultados obtenidos se utilizaron para validar los resultados obtenidos con el sistema COMETA de CRIDA A.I.E.---ABSTRACT---The calculation of the cognitive complexity of ATC seeks to obtain the degree of difficulty to understand and control air traffic situations at a given time. Given the subjectivity of what is complex and the fact that this involves mental processes, this is an area of ongoing research and no consensus has been reached on how to make this calculation. Many efforts have been made in order to calculate cognitive complexity. Some proposals take into account environmental factors, others focus on psychological and physiological factors of the controller and others take into account both types of factors. In this work, the cognitive complexity in the LECMPAU, LECMPAL, LECMDGU, LECMDGL, LECMBLU and LECMBLL sectors was calculated from a historic of ATC actions. The algorithm k-means++ clustering was used to identify patterns and trends in the data. The most important characteristics were identified and, from this, a formula was created to calculate the cognitive complexity. The results obtained were used to validate the results obtained with the COMETA system of CRIDA A.I.E.
