Estudio de la plataforma de Business Intelligence SAS Viya 3.4

Abstract

SAS Viya 3.4 es una solución de BI (Business Intelligence) de alto rendimiento analítico y visualización de datos en Cloud que ayuda a cualquier problema de Big Data y Machine Learning enfocada a dar una rápida respuesta al negocio. En este estudio se explicará el porqué de estas plataformas junto con las ventajas y beneficios que ofrecen a una compañía. Se mostrarán los problemas que existen, y cómo son gestionados por los sistemas de información permitiendo tomar decisiones. Específicamente, se estudiará el caso de que una empresa quiera implantar en su entorno una de estas herramientas, detallando qué procesos se siguen para su instalación, con qué problemas se pueden encontrar y cómo son utilizadas. En este trabajo se realizará la implementación de un entorno SAS Viya con los productos SAS Visual Analytics, el cual sirve para visualizar los datos, descubrir patrones y realizar informes principalmente; y SAS Visual Statistics, diseñado para crear y modificar modelos predictivos. Finalmente, se mostrarán unos casos prácticos con ejemplos de Business Intelligence, demostrando la utilidad de estas soluciones empresariales. Abstract: SAS Viya 3.4 is a BI (Business Intelligence) solution with high analytical performance and data visualization in the Cloud that helps in any Big Data problem and Machine Learning focused on giving a quick response to the business. This study will explain the reasons for these platforms with their advantages and benefits they offer to a company. It will show the problems that exist, and how they are managed by the information systems allowing decisions to be made. Specifically, the case that a company wants to implement one of these tools in their environment, detailing what processes are followed for their installation, and what problems can be found and how they are used. In this research we will implement a SAS Viya environment with SAS Visual Analytics products, which serves to visualize data, discover patterns and make reports mainly; and SAS Visual Statistics, designed to create and modify predictive models. Finally, a practical case will be shown with examples of Business Intelligence, demonstrating the usefulness of these business solutions.
