Materia expuesta. Narrativa en espacios expositivos contemporáneos: el discurso narrativo en espacios expositivos contemporáneos desde el punto de vista del autor y el espectador

Abstract

Este trabajo de investigación analiza las relaciones existentes entre las personas y el autor, a través del espacio, desde su forma, los cambios que sufre a través del discurso narrativo y sus contenidos, la tecnología empleada y la trascendencia que esconde. Será el inventario, el montaje, la publicidad, la influencia en el espacio ocupado y las imágenes los principales puntos de estudio de cada una de estas muestras, además de la filosofía y teorías que pretenden transmitir cada uno de los autores. Arquitectos y artistas lanzan mensajes con cada una de sus creaciones, usando a menudo herramientas intermedias que funcionan como nexo de unión entre el autor y los destinatarios. A priori, la diferencia sustancial es que los arquitectos dotan de una función a la arquitectura y otorgan importancia al proceso, mientras que al artista muestra mayor interés en el propio mensaje. ¿Es esto así? ¿Son los visitantes conscientes de su papel dentro de estos espacios? ¿Estas herramientas utilizadas por arquitectos y artistas hablan el mismo lenguaje que sus interlocutores? ¿Cómo afecta este discurso al espacio que lo envuelve? El conjunto de estas premisas serán puestas en cuestión en dos muestras clave: la primera, «Ice Watch» del artista Olafur Eliasson, y la segunda, «On Air», del arquitecto Tomás Saraceno. Relacionadas entre sí, muestran una visión actual del ecosistema y del medio en que vivimos, proponiendo conexiones más allá de lo tangible. This research work analyzes the relationships between people and the author, through space, from its form, the changes it undergoes through narrative discourse and its contents, the technology used and the significance it hides. It will be the inventory, the assembly, the publicity, the influence in the occupied space and the images the main points of study of each one of these samples, in addition to the philosophy and theories that each of the authors intends to transmit. Architects and artists launch messages with each of their creations, often using intermediate tools that function as a link between the author and the recipients. A priori, the substantial difference is that architects give architecture a role and attach importance to the process, while the artist shows greater interest in the message itself. This is so? Are visitors aware of their role within these spaces? Do these tools used by architects and artists speak the same language as their interlocutors? How does this discourse affect the space that surrounds it? All of these premises will be questioned in two key samples: the first, “Ice Watch” by the artist Olafur Eliasson, and the second, “On Air”, by the architect Tomás Saraceno. Related to each other, they show a current vision of the ecosystem and the environment in which we live, proposing connections beyond the tangible.
