Abstract

The “Technische Universität Darmstadt” works with a low speed wind tunnel which lays in Griesheim. In this tunnel are done several aerodynamics studies, projects and it is also used with educational objectives. In these thesis will be developed experiments in this Wind tunnel to test the profile called Adaptive Camber Profile (ACP) developed by the TUD and confirm its functionality under a cross inflow. The objectives of this thesis are to think about and build a gust generator in the wind tunnel ( a cylinder), to develope the measurement technique for the experiments, to do a planning of the experiments developments, to execute the experimentation , to take, save and analyze the data extracted from the experimentation and finally to document and present the results. During the experimentation it was also decided to take videos and data with a camera from inside the wind tunnel to have even more data about the flow and the experimentation. In this part I would also like to thank the TUD and specially the SLA department for trusting in me and letting me work in the wind tunnel. I would also like to thank to the whole department and the people, with whom I shared my days working, for helping me and making me feel as if I were in my country. Specially I thank my “Betreuer” for helping me during the whole thesis and for giving me the chance of learning so many things I didn’t know. I also would like to thank the “Universidad Politécnica de Madrid” for giving me the great chance to go to study to another university for one year . Specially I am also thankful with all the people I met there in Darmstadt who help me, specially to my good friend Chris and my family who from Spain encouraged me through the difficulties.
