In this research seminar at the Escuela Politécnica Superior of the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid I will review the topics of camera calibration (providing an online demo) and autocalibration. I will provide an overview of the main steps of a standard structure-from-motion (SFM) pipeline and how camera calibration and camera auto-calibration fit into the pipeline, enabling the recovery of the three-dimensional reconstruction of a scene acquired by a video or photographic camera. Autocalibration methods developed at GTI-UPM based on the square-pixel assumption are presented.
