Abstract
Para poder enfrentarse a los crecientes desafíos de la urbanización, las Smart Cities o Ciudades Inteligentes se encuentran en continua evolución debido a los avances de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC). Una de las principales preocupaciones del crecimiento urbano son la seguridad y la protección de la población. Este proyecto final de grado ha presentado una doble finalidad. Por un lado, se ha realizado el diseño e instalación de un sistema para el control de acceso y del tráfico en Tres Cantos que permite el reconocimiento de matrículas con tecnología OCR (reconocimiento óptico de caracteres) usando cámaras de CCTV (circuito cerrado de televisión), así como la videovigilancia tanto del tráfico como de la seguridad de la población del Municipio de Tres Cantos con cámaras Domo. Por otro lado, se ha desarrollado una herramienta de gestión de incidencias que facilita la detección y resolución de problemas una vez el sistema se ha puesto en marcha.
El objetivo principal de este proyecto es conseguir vigilar el tráfico y la seguridad de la población, a la vez que se hace una detección a tiempo real de los vehículos que circulan por el Municipio. En cuanto a la herramienta de gestión de incidencias, su objetivo es facilitar el trabajo a los operarios con la rápida detección y notificación de las incidencias.
Abstract:
In order to face the growing challenges of urbanization, the Smart Cities are in continuous evolution due to the advances in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). One of the main concerns of urban growth is the security and protection of the population. This final degree project has a twofold purpose. On the one hand, the design and deployment of a system for cars access and traffic control in Tres Cantos has been carried out, which allows the recognition of license plates with OCR technology (optical character recognition) using CCTV cameras (closed circuit television), as well as video surveillance of both traffic and security of the population of the municipality of Tres Cantos with Domo cameras. On the other hand, an incident management tool has been developed to facilitate the detection and resolution of problems once the system has been put into operation. The main objective of this project is to monitor traffic and security of the population, while making a real-time detection of vehicles circulating in the municipality. As for the incident management tool, its aim is to facilitate the work of operators with a rapid detection and notification of incidents.
