Sistema de Business Intelligence para el control de stock de un almacén

Abstract

El objetivo de este proyecto es la creación de un servicio estándar de “Business Intelligence” que dé soporte en la toma de decisiones relacionadas con la gestión logística de las empresas. Con este servicio los gestores logísticos podrán trabajar con información de calidad que indique el estado de los diferentes procesos del almacén para optimizarlos a través de una correcta asignación de recursos. Además, con este sistema se podrá analizar el nivel de servicio que se tiene con el cliente para poder actualizar la estrategia que sigue la empresa para poder satisfacer las necesidades de los clientes y a su vez ser una empresa más competitiva. Para ello, se ha necesitado crear una infraestructura compuesta por una herramienta para la creación de procesos ETL, una base de datos analítica y una herramienta de reporting que trabaje con los datos operacionales de los sistemas de gestión de almacenes utilizados por el cliente. La utilización de este servicio permitirá a las compañías logísticas obtener de forma intuitiva y sencilla toda la información necesaria para tomar decisiones que les aporte una ventaja competitiva frente a sus competidores en el sector.
Abstract:
The objective of this project is the creation of a standard "Business Intelligence" service that supports decision making related to the logistics management of companies. With this service, logistics managers will be able to work with quality information that indicates the status of the different warehouse processes in order to optimise them through the correct allocation of resources. In addition, with this system it will be possible to analyse the level of service provided to the client in order to be able to update the strategy followed by the company in order to satisfy the needs of the clients and at the same time be a more competitive company. To do this, it has been necessary to create an infrastructure consisting of a tool for the creation of ETL processes, an analytical database and a reporting tool that works with the operational data of the warehouse management systems used by the client. The use of this service will allow logistics companies to intuitively and easily obtain all the information necessary to make decisions that will give them a competitive advantage over their competitors in the sector.
