The gsto model parameterizations developed in Europe must be checked in the different climatic regions where they are going to be applied in order to reduce the uncertainties associated with the POD approach. This work proposes a new gsto model parameterization for estimating POD of Triticum aestivum and Triticum durum under Mediterranean conditions, based on phenological observations over 25 years and gsto field measurements during 5 growing seasons. Results show that POD in the Mediterranean area might be higher than previously estimated. However, caution must be paid when assessing the risk of yield loss for wheat in this area since field validation of O3 impacts is still limited. date_type: published date: 2013-03 publication: Atmospheric Environment volume: 67 pagerange: 149-160 id_number: 10.1016/j.atmosenv.2012.10.043 institution: Agronomos department: Biologia refereed: TRUE issn: 1352-2310 official_url: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1352231012010254 citation: González-Fernández, I. and Bermejo, V. and Elvira, S. and Torre Llorente, Daniel de la and González, Águeda and Navarrete, Luis and Sanz, J. and Calvete Sogo, Hector and García Gómez, Hector and López, Antoni and Serra, Joan and Lafarga, A. and Armesto, A.P. and Calvo Navallas, Antonio and Alonso, R.
