title: Coupling light into graphene plasmons with the help of surface acoustic waves creator: Schiefele, Jürgen creator: Pedrós Ayala, Jorge creator: Sols, Fernando creator: Calle Gómez, Fernando creator: Guinea, Francisco subject: Electronics description: We propose a scheme for coupling laser light into graphene plasmons with the help of electrically generated surface acoustic waves. The surface acoustic wave forms a diffraction grating which allows us to excite the long lived phononlike branch of the hybridized graphene plasmon-phonon dispersion with infrared laser light. Our approach avoids patterning the graphene sheet, does not rely on complicated optical near-field techniques, and allows us to electrically switch the coupling between far-field radiation and propagating graphene plasmons. rights: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/3.0/es/ date: 2014 type: info:eu-repo/semantics/conferenceObject type: Presentation at Congress or Conference source: NanoSpain 2014 | NanoSpain 2014 | 11/03/2014 - 14/03/2014 | Madrid, Spain type: PeerReviewed format: application/pdf language: eng rights: info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess identifier: https://oa.upm.es/36752/
