A first step: functional unit's LCA rights: by-nc-nd ispublished: pub subjects: transporte full_text_status: public pres_type: paper abstract: The principal aim of the study consists of developing a methodology to calculate the energy associated with a motorway's complete life cycle, obtaining its energy footprint. Energy is consumad by the extraction of raw materials, production of materials, work, etc. and especially by vehicles passing through it. But it can also produce energy from renewable resources by taking advantage of the shoulders, placing solar panels on buildings to operate the motorway, re-using waste of deconstruction, etc. The objective is to evaluate the result of both energies (consumption and insumption) as the balance between the energy consumad through the process and the energy produced by the motorway at all stages of the life cycle (the energy footprint). date_type: published date: 2010 pagerange: 1 event_title: UEP 2010 - Urban Environmental Pollution Conference event_location: Boston, Estados Unidos event_dates: 20/06/2010-23/06/2010 event_type: other institution: Agronomos department: otro refereed: TRUE book_title: UEP 2010 - Urban Environmental Pollution Conference citation: González Díaz, María Jesús and García Navarro, Justo and Martinez Caraballo, Eva and Redruello Almandoz, Ignacio and Gómez Cuesta, Ana and Sánchez Valdivieso, Clara (2010).
