In this paper we present a survey on the most relevant tools and tool suites used to build a new ontology from scratch or reusing existing ontologies. Apart from the common edition and browsing functionality, we will see that they usually include ontology documentation, ontology exportation and importation from different formats, graphical views of the ontologies built, ontology libraries, attached inference engines, etc. We will review the following: DUET, OILEd, OntoEdit, Ontolingua, OntoSaurus, Prot{\'e}g{\'e}-2000, WebODE, and WebOnto.} }
