This work presents a LPWAN communication architecture for monitoring systems in power distribution grids, in the framework of the MAIGE project. MAIGE main goal is the experimental evaluation of innovative technologies for their massive deployment. The project describes a variety of use cases that demand different communication requisites. Taking into account the diversity of the sensors, as well as the availability of power and internet connections, we have designed a hybrid 3GLoRa- SigFox communication architecture. Finally, we show the experimental results of the performance and timing analysis of the proposed solution.
