El arte en la arquitectura para la liturgia católica en el siglo XXI. Integración iconográfica en el presbiterio

Resumen

La integración del arte en el presbiterio de las iglesias católicas continua vigente en el s.XXI. El triduo altar, ambón, sede, se emplaza dentro de la arquitectura para la liturgia en el que es el escenario fundamental donde se lleva a cabo el rito católico: el presbiterio. La singularidad espacial del santuario encuentra su continuidad en la historia. El arte ha formado parte consustancial con la arquitectura en la transmisión del simbolismo católico de la misa. Históricamente, el programa iconográfico ha mantenido su hegemonía, si bien en los últimos años parece prevalecer el simbolismo abstracto. El presente TFG propone una aproximación escalada al tema a fin de poder comprenderlo en profundidad. La complejidad del presbiterio viene dada por ser punto de confluencia de tres materias: arquitectura, arte y teología. Se plantea por ello un primer capítulo que esquematice la teología litúrgica que concierne al área del presbiterio. El segundo capítulo recoge la evolución histórica y pone en contexto la actualidad del tema. En un último capítulo se desarrollan tres casos de estudio que ejemplifican las siguientes vías de integración del arte en el presbiterio: abstracción simbólica, integración iconográfica e integración iconográfica en la abstracción simbólica. The integration of art in the presbytery of the Catholic churches continues fongirng in the s. XXI. The trheesome altar, ambo, seat, is located within the architecture for the liturgy in the fundamental setting where the Catholic rite is carried out: the presbytery. The spatial singularity of the sanctuary finds its continuity in history. Art has played an integral part with architecture in the transmission of the Catholic symbolism of the mass. Historically, the iconographic program has maintained its hegemony, although in recent years abstract symbolism seems to prevail. This investigation work has a scaled approach to the subject in order to understand it in depth. The complexity of the presbytery is given by the confluence of three subjects: architecture, art and theology. For this reason, a first chapter outlines the liturgical theology that concerns the area of the presbytery. The second chapter gathers the historical evolution and puts in context the actuality of the subject. In a final chapter, three case studies are developedin order to exemplify the following ways of integrating art in the presbytery: symbolic abstraction, iconographic integration and iconographic integration in symbolic abstraction.
