Resumen

Nowadays fashion, graphic, and industrial designers have access to different training and technological means but they need to know the competition in the labour market is growing increasingly. A distinguishing characteristic will be the way they introduce the quality of their work to their future clients. Thanks to the latest tendencies in digital media students will become generators, producers, and communicators. They will employ specific roles, aesthetic, and creative solutions to new problems.

The continuous changes in the different professional careers demand a constant evolution and updating. The portfolio, as a compilation of personal works is the perfect tool to show experience and skills to the company in which someone wants to work. The digital portfolio thus becomes the best skill reflection for talent seekers to look at their promising profile.

Defining and designing a good portfolio will depend on the specific requirements sought for a particular professional field. As companies are constantly searching, it is compulsory for students to connect their formative experience with the business setting in a digital transformation era. This chapter aims at defining the portfolio and the tools available for its correct execution.
