Resumen

The present work studies the aeroelastic response of a two degrees-of-freedom model for an airfoil, due to the effect of atmospheric turbulence. The study of the aeroelastic response to turbulence is of great importance, in order to ensure the structural integrity of wings. This project covers the obtention of the standard deviations of the degrees-of-freedom of the airfoil and all intermediate results due to atmospheric turbulence, aiming to determine to which extent this phenomena can damage the structure. Moreover, the obtention of these results are secured using computational tools. Therein, the results of the present study show that the coupling of the modes induces an attenuated response of the airfoil.
